Comparison of sperm parameters and testis histological structure in lake frog (Pelophylax ridibundus) from areas with different level of anthropogenic pollution

The aim. aim of the work was to study indicators spermatogenesis in lake frog, Pelophylax ridibundus (Pallas, 1771), zone influence emissions from Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant (TPP).
 Materials and methods. Urinal sperm testes samples were taken male frogs under conditions anthropogenic pollution (Burshtyn industrial area). Such parameters as concentration ejaculate, number live spermatozoa, total amount actively mobile forms, percentage spermatozoa with progressive motion determined by calculations hemocytometer. Testis processed for routine histological method. diameter seminiferous tubules abnormalities studied.
 Results. Studies have revealed that near TPP site, sample motile significantly decreased. dead increases. Amphibians polluted sites had such dilation sparse sperm. At same time, animals site decreased.
